Matthew Thomas | President
Matthew Thomas is a junior Aerospace Engineering major at UMD. As president for SEDS@UMD, his role includes managing projects and determining their timeline as well as managing the overall direction of SEDS@UMD.
Lars Knudsen | Vice president
Lars Knudsen is a sophomore Aerospace Engineering at UMD. As vice president for SEDS@UMD, his role includes managing projects and finances. In his free time, Lars loves to go rock climbing or spending time outdoors.

This role is responsible for managing the finances of SEDS@UMD. They are responsible for tracking all expenses and income. In addition, they will oversee the inventory control officers to ensure the necessary purchasing is occurring.
George Tang | Secretary
George Tang is a junior Aerospace Engineering student at UMD. As the secretary of SEDS@UMD, his role includes helping to plan meetings and manage administrative tasks across the organization.
Jason Hipkins | Advisor
Jason is a UMD alumnus with a Math and Computer Science Double Degree. He is passionate about data analysis and helps run the administrative side of the organization. Jason currently acts as the advisor to SEDS@UMD.

This role is responsible for creating the design assets and have the vision to implement what our brand is all about. This role is in charge of the Marketing, Outreach, and Events managers on the Business Development Team.

Brian Glover | Co-Lead
Brian is a sophomore aerospace engineering major at UMD. As co-lead of the Satellite Fabrication (“SatFab”) team, he facilitates communication, scheduling, and cross-team collaboration within the project.
Will Covington | Co-Lead
Will is a sophomore aerospace engineering student at UMD. As co-lead of the Satellite Fabrication (“SatFab”) team, Will helps run and organize team meetings, discuss the project's timeline, and manage communication between subteams and UMD’s Balloon Payload Program.

Laney Rodgers is a sophomore mechanical engineering major at UMD. As a project lead for the Telescope Hosting Event-based Imaging Apparatus (“THEIA”), she oversees the various subteams and makes sure they are all working towards a common goal.
